The Nationless Pavilion is the annual pavilion that gives voice, in the context of the Venice Biennale, to those who are not represented by any nation. It is born with the will to redesign the idea of the State-Nation and its representation in the formula of the National Pavilions in Biennale. The Pavilion does not use spaces in Venice for purely exhibition porpuses, but generats processes and relationships. It focuses on the work in the lagoon involving the local art scene and citizens, involving people with migration experiences and the migrants themselves. The territory of the Nationless Pavilion is both the city of Venice and the interstitial spaces between the Pavilions, the land of no one that includs all. It was conceived in 2014 by Sara Alberani and developed in collaboration with the Nation25 artistic platform. The Nationless Pavilion collaborated and found support from: Open Society Foundation, Lettera27, Sale Docks, Free Home University, Archivio Memorie Migranti, Civico Zero, la rete Sprar of Venice, Musagetes, BabelMed, Habeshia Agency, Associazione Isole.
